Our Hotel Le Riquewihr*** is a perfect base for visiting the nearby famous cities of Colmar (15 min), Strasbourg or Mulhouse (45 min), all Alsace region and the Vosges mountains, and even nearby Germany and the Black Forest mountains.
In Colmar you will enjoy the heart of the old town with the Little Venice quarter but also one of the most beautiful museums in France, the Unterlinden Museum. In Strasbourg do not miss the Cathedral and the Petite France (Little France) and in Mulhouse you will visit the famous industrial Museums. Obernai and the Mount Sainte Odile is another famous place. But in the first vicinity of our hotel you will have plenty to see and visit: the medieval city of Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé, Kaysersberg... all of them on the well-known alsatian wine road, and Selestat, so charming. A charming and well preserved nature is waiting for you in the Vosges hills as well as in the Hardt or Ried plains. Discover the trails by walking or with bicycles.
Alsace has a famous reputation for gastronomy and offers a number of receipes for gourmets. Some of them are traditional and simple regional dishes like "Choucroute" - "Flammenkuche" - "Baeckoffa", the famous "Kougelhopf" or the delicious "Bredalas" (little cakes during Christmas time).
